4 more rape cases reported in Hyderabad after teen gang-rape case

Nagpur: Even though the teen gang-rape in Hyderabad continue to make headlines across the country, four more rape cases have emerged from the city.

In an incident, a 12-year-old girl was raped by two unidentified men while going to her grandmother’s place. The incident took place on May 31. The minor was later found in the Sultanshahi area on June 1. The accused have been identified as 36-year-olds Shaik Kaleem Ali and Mohd Kuqman Ahmed Yazdani. The duo allegedly took the minor to a friend’s house where she was sexually assaulted. The minor was then dropped off her next morning.

The second incident comes to light who worked at a retail store was sexually assaulted by Mohd Sufyan on May 31.

The third incident is of another minor girl from an orphanage who was raped in a car on April 22. The incident has come to light now. The 16-year-old had gone to celebrate a birthday party with the accused who on the pretext of buying cake and speaking to her privately raped her in the car. A phone was found with the girl in the orphanage where she confessed that the phone was given to her by the accused. The accused was identified as 23-year-old Suresh who works at a photocopy store.

The fourth case was of a girl who was raped inside a theatre and was lured by the accused to watch a film.

A 17-year-old was allegedly gang-raped inside a luxury car by minors on May 28 in Hyderabad. As per various sources, one of the accused belongs to a political family.
