Nagpur: Nagpur city was once again flooded due to rainwater which was waterlogged at every square. The city has been receiving heavy rainfall for the last three days. However, after a day’s break, rain wreaked havoc in several parts of the city, disrupting normalcy.

Most of the streets and underpasses were inundated due to heavy rains. While people were struggling due to inundated roads, Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari took to social media and praised the Ambazari overflow due to heavy rainfall. Within no time, citizens took to social media and asked the mayor to pay attention to the roads of the city first.

In August this year, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) standing committee chairman Prakash Bhoyar claimed that there are only 3,360 potholes in the city. The NMC later said that developmental works have been stalled due to inadequate funds and potholes will not be repaired until monsoon ends.
