Nagpur: Indian agricultural waste recycling project was named among the winners of Prince William’s inaugural Earthshot prize on Sunday evening. The Earthshot prize, also known as the “Eco Oscars” was presented to Delhi-based entrepreneur Vidyut Mohan.
Mohan’s ‘Takachar’ was named the winner of the GBP 1 million prize for its cheap technology innovation to convert crop residues into bio products in the ‘clean our air’ category.
Mohan’s innovation as among the five worldwide winners of the prize which has been created by Duke of Cambridge, Prince William to reward people who are trying to save planet earth by their innovations.
Takachar was named one of the winners for the technology which reduces smoke emissions by up to 98 per cent and aims at improving the air quality that reduced the affected population’s life expectancy by up to 5 years.
