Nagpur: Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra minister Kishore Tiwari said that Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s fundamental rights are being ‘violated.’ He further said that Khan is a victim of vendetta by an officer of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) who allegedly failed to make it into the film industry.

Tiwari’s petition further accuses the bureau of ‘dirty vendetta,’ targeting film personalities and models. It further asked the Supreme Court to intervene in the matter and protect Khan’s fundamental rights.

The three-tiered Maharashtra government comprising the Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress have accused the NCB of targeting Aryan Khan on orders from the central government.

Aryan Khan and seven others were arrested over the drugs-on-cruise case earlier this month. It is alleged that some number of drugs were recovered from the seven people who were there to attend a private party.

Earlier, Maharashtra chief minister and Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray alleged that the anti-drug agency was interested in catching the celebrities.

Khan has been in Aurthur road jail since October 8. He was reportedly counselled in jail in which he promised to ‘serve the nation’ and ‘promised to be a good citizen of the country.’ Khan was counselled by the NCB’s Zonal director Sameer Wankhede who has been leading the investigation.

According to reports, Khan said he would make everyone proud of him and avoid wrongdoing. He further added that he would help the poor and deprived.
