Netherlands – Embassy of India celebrates Garbha & Dandiya festival

Embassy of India organized a Garba event to mark Navarathri & as part of #AmritMahotsav celebrations at Gandhi Centre on Oct 16. Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat & Mrs. Shruti Rawat were the Chief Guests. Spouses of Ambassadors of Japan & Egypt to the Netherlands also participated.

As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Embassy of India celebrated Garba & Dandiya festival at Gandhi Centre on Saturday, Oct 16 in The Hague,Netherlands.
Followed a brief introduction on folk dances & a presentation, community people along with international guest,students were also a part of the event.

The event begun with an opening remark by Shiv Mohan Singh – Director of Gandhi Cultural Center.

Later on Workshop and performances on folk dances were lead by Vaishali Narvekar, Mousami Gupta and artists Roshani Khandelwal,Manasi Dahigude,Priya Mohana,Kavita Prajapati,Sheetal Baldava and Child Artist Urvi Baldava .

The entire event was anchored by Mrs Pranita Deshpande.

The devotees were dressed in colourful traditional ‘chaniya cholis’ and ‘sarees’ doing Garba on folk tunes as an offering to Goddess Durga.

Ambassador along with many international guest joined this event.
The event was summed up by refreshment at the end.
