Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) in order to speed up the coverage of first dose beneficiaries of the Covid-19 vaccine in the city said it was planning to discontinue free Covid-19 jabs at their vaccination centres after November 30.

Additional municipal commissioner Ram Joshi told The Free Media that this decision was taken to ramp up the vaccination drive in the city.

He said that despite giving out free doses of Covid-19 vaccine, people are hesitant to take the vaccine. There are 160 free vaccination centres in the city and has almost 20 lakh eligible beneficiaries of which nearly 17 lakhs have received the first dose.
