A book to celebrate the upcoming 18th birthday of heir to the throne princess Amalia reveals a young girl who sees her future role as an honour.
This will be a first book at the future monarch of the Netherlands.
Catharina-Amalia, Princess of Orange (Catharina-Amalia Beatrix Carmen Victoria; born 7 December 2003), is the heir apparent to the throne of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, consisting of the constituent countries of Aruba, Curaçao, the Netherlands, and Sint Maarten.
The book, written with approval of the government’s information service (RVD), which handles publicity for the Royal House, and released Tuesday, is the deepest look to date into the life and character of Amalia, the eldest daughter of King Willem-Alexander.
It is a tradition for heirs to the Dutch throne to have books published about them for their 18th birthday.
Similar biographies were released for Amalia’s father, King Willem-Alexander, and her grandmother, former monarch Princess Beatrix.
