Riots In Netherlands Over Covid Measures turn violent for a third night.

Violence by rioters annoyed by the current coronavirus measures, including the latest ban on NYE fireworks.

Sunday marked the third night of riots, as groups of young people wreaked havoc, setting off fireworks and destroying public property.

In Enschede and Groningen, an emergency order was issued, providing police forces with more power to take action against rioters.

 In Tilburg, where there were no arrests, groups of youngsters set off fireworks and set fire to waste bins, broadcaster NOS reported.

The situation in those cities was described as “restless” for the third night in a row according to report by NOS

Major destruction was caused, resulting in an emergency order to be placed in many cities — which gives the police more flexibility to take immediate action.

The Netherlands reimposed some lockdown measures on its 17.5 million population last weekend for an initial three weeks in an effort to slow a resurgence of the virus, but daily infections have remained at their highest levels since the start of the pandemic
