Nagpur: Delegation of Nagpur Residential Hotels Association (NRHA) led by Tejinder Singh Renu on Wednesday met district collector Vimala R and submitted a memorandum to relax the restaurant timings.
In the memorandum, the NRHA requested to allow restaurant timing up to 1:30 am and also relax marriages and social functions to 200. Renu requested the collector that taking the current Covid-19 situation in the district, NRHA believe its high time that restaurant timings should be allowed to operate as per license timings.
Renu also said that guests permitted for marriage or social events should be increased upto 50 per cent of the total capacity of the hall or lawn. Collector Vimala R assured that she would look into the matter and take the necessary steps as soon as possible.
Since the last few days, Nagpur district has been witnessing a decline in daily Covid-19 cases. The district on Tuesday recorded 681 cases and 8 deaths due to the novel coronavirus. Mumbai and Pune have already relaxed the restrictions after a fall in the cases but there seems to be no relief to Nagpur district.
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Tuesday said that Mumbai would be fully unlocked or will witness relaxations by the end of this month.
