Nagpur: Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been given a clean-chit by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the drugs-on-cruise case.

The central agency on May 27 submitted a charge-sheet in the 2021 case. All the accused persons, except for Khan and Mohak Jaswal were found in possession of Narcotics, as per NCB DDG (operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh.

Khan was arrested by the NCB along with his friends Arbaaz Merchant and model Munmun Dhamecha and had walked out of jail four weeks after the arrest on October 30. The arrests were made after a raid on the Cordelia cruise off the Mumbai coast.

It was alleged that some number of drugs were recovered from the seven people who were there to attend a private party.

Maharashtra chief minister and Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray alleged that the anti-drug agency was interested in catching the celebrities.
Khan was kept in Aurthur road jail since October 8. He was reportedly counselled in jail in which he promised to ‘serve the nation’ and ‘promised to be a good citizen of the country.’ Khan was counselled by the NCB’s Zonal director Sameer Wankhede who has been leading the investigation.

According to reports, Khan said he would make everyone proud of him and avoid wrongdoing. He further added that he would help the poor and deprived.
