Nagpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) supremo Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday while talking about the religious shrines said that there is no need to look for ‘Shivling’ in every mosque.

Bhagwat also said the Gyanvapi mosque row could be resolved amicably by Hindus and Muslims. “There is no need to look for a Shivling in every mosque,” he said while addressing a gathering. Speaking on increasing religious incidents in the country, the RSS chief said, “These incidents cannot be changed by either Hindus or Muslims of the country. Invaders took to breaking down temples to crush the Morales of the Hindus and also create an impression among newly converted Muslims.”

Bhagwat was addressing the concluding session of the annual officers training camp of RSS at Nagpur. He further clarified that the so-called Hindutva organization was not in favor of launching campaigns such as the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in Ayodhya.

He added that the Mosques are also sites for a form of prayer, even if it ‘comes from outside’ and the Muslims who pray at the Gyanvapi mosque are not outsiders. “Even if their prayer is from outside, and they wish to continue with it, we are fine with it,” he said, as per news agency ANI.
