Nagpur: The Supreme Court today lashed out at suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and said it’s because of her loose tongue that the country is burning today.

The top court in a hearing today said, “She and her loose tongue have set the entire country on fire.” The court was hearing the plea filed by Sharma seeking transfer of the FIRs to Delhi over her controversial remarks on the Prophet.

“She is a threat or she has become a security threat? The way she has ignited emotions across the country. This lady is single-handedly responsible for what is happening in the country,” SC claimed.

The Supreme Court also held Sharma responsible for the incident at Udaipur where a Hindu tailor was murdered brutally.

Referring to her apology and withdrawal of comments on the Prophet, the Supreme Court bench said it was too late in the day to withdraw. The bench said, “Her apology came too late and that too conditionally for saying if religious sentiments are hurt and so on. She should have been on TV immediately and apologized to the nation.”
