Nagpur: Maharashtra Tourism minister Aditya Thackeray on Monday called for designing a QR code to identify buildings in Mumbai where all the residents who are eligible for getting the Covid-19 vaccine are vaccinated.

Thackeray was speaking at a review meeting and called to seek inputs for drawing up strategy to tackle the novel coronavirus and increase vaccination to avoid the third wave of Covid-19.

The QR code will help in verifying that residents of the buildings and offices are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. In the meeting, junior Thackeray also said that they are planning for second dose due shots, university students and increasing coverage of second shots in working populations.

Thackeray also took to the micro-blogging website to announce that last week an ‘only for women’ vaccination drive resulted in Rs 1.27 lakh women in Mumbai being vaccinated in a day.
