Nagpur: An 11-year-old was reportedly lured into selling her virginity for RS 5,000. The minor was allegedly desperate to earn some money for her mother’s treatment.
The girl was then rescued by the cops on Thursday at an apartment in Koradi. The cops also arrested three women, who allegedly arranged for a customer for Rs 40,000 and promised to help the minor’s family. The customer turned out to be a ‘police informer’ and rescued the girl.
According to sources, the11-year-old’s mother is suffering from cancer and is in urgent need of money. However, this claim by the minor is still being verified by the police.
According to a report citing sources, the accused had convinced the minor to accompany them and do their bidding and also promised her Rs 5,000.
39-year-old Archana Vaishampayan, 45-year-old Ranjana Meshram and 30-year-old Kavita Nikhare were arrested during the raid by the Social Service Branch of the crime branch.
