It’s the motorists who are facing problems every day as one suddenly finds a cow right in front of them, out of nowhere, in the middle of the road.
Nagpur, one of the fastest developing cities in the country has many cow shelters constructed, yet the cattle are to be found on the road, sitting in a group.
The cattle have just not taken over the roads but also the flyovers in the city.
The stray cattle pose threats to the commuters as well as pedestrians in the city.
Despite so many complaints by the residents as well as the motorists, the local civic body has failed to curb the menace.
The country’s first multilayer flyover with both Metro and National Highway which was inaugurated a year back to ease the way for the motorists seems to have become one of the favorite spots for the cattle in the city.
Chinmay, a resident of Hindustan colony recalls that he once had a close call with a cow while he was on his way to the office.
“Ten centimeters more and I would’ve been in the hospital.
I was riding my bike and a bunch of cows just randomly started crossing the road. I got extremely scared.”
The owners of the cattle set them free to gaze upon the grass in the city but it often turns out to be troublesome for a lot of people.
After the cattle was spotted at the city’s international airport, netizens within no time took to the serious issue to various social media platforms and made fun of the local body authority.
