Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner Radhakrishnan B on Wednesday inspected the road work from Sangharsh Nagar to Chandmari near Bhandewadi.

He was seen warning the workers if the work wasn’t up to the mark. Rs 8.95 crore have been approved for a 1.50 km long road which the NMC is constructing from Sangharsh Nagar to Chandmari.

“No compromise will be made with the quality of road,” the Commissioner said during the road check. At present, WBM work is being done on this road.

However, it seems like the NMC commissioner has ignored the issues of potholes in the city.

Citizens have been speaking up about the potholes menace in the city which is causing unrest to the motorists.

Earlier, NMC standing committee chairman Prakash Bhoyar had claimed that there are only 3,360 potholes in the city.

The potholes are just not causing unrest to the motorists but also triggering Dengue cases in the city.

Due to the rains, water is being filled in the potholes which is causing a surge in the dengue cases.
