Nagpur: NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday said that his party is ‘not inclined’ to join hands with AIMIM. This development comes after AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel proposed an alliance with the three-tiered Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).
The Shiv Sena has already rejected the AIMIM’s proposal for alliance. Pawar, while addressing the reporters in Pune said, “I have been reading about this statement (of Imtiaz Jaleel) but I want to clarify that this is not our party’s stand (to ally with AIMIM).”
He added that AIMIM can talk about alliances but the parties they are talking about should accept such proposals in the first place. The NCP supremo further said that these kinds of alliances are state-level and formation of such alliances has to be approved by the national committee of political parties.
Pawar also revealed that there can be a possible meeting with the Pune airport authorities for another airport in the city for which the location is yet to be finalised.
