Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 26th National Youth Festival in Hubbali, Karnataka, on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary.
When the Prime Minister arrived in town, he was greeted warmly. People thronged the roads, waving and showering flowers on his cavalcade. From January 12 to 16, the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, in collaboration with the Karnataka government, will host the 26th National Youth Festival in Hubballi-Dharwad, Karnataka.
This year’s festival theme is ‘Viksit Yuva Viksit Bharat’. During Amrit Kaal, the festival aims to increase the role of youth in nation building. It will be an effort to spread the message of ‘Panch Pran,’ as advocated by the Prime Minister in his Independence Day speech.
The festival brings together diverse cultures from across the country on a single platform, uniting participants in the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat. The Festival will feature the Youth Summit, which will feature plenary discussions on five themes derived from G20 and Y20 events: future of work, industry, innovation, and 21st century skills; climate change and disaster risk reduction; peacebuilding and reconciliation; shared future-youth in democracy and governance; and health and well-being.
