Twitter introduces ‘new edit feature’ now you can trace your tweet history

Nagpur: Twitter, the popular social media app, has now rolled out a new feature known as ‘Edit Tweet,’ which has been making headlines for quite some time. The ‘Edit Tweet’ button appears, leaving a digital trail of the history of your tweet. According to the Verge, the edit function appears to have a ‘immutable’ quality, which means that when a tweet is edited, Twitter may create an entirely new tweet while preserving previous versions of that tweet.” Looks like Twitter’s approach to editing tweet is immutable,” said the creator and developer Jane Manchun Wong, “As in, instead of mutating the Tweet text within the same Tweet, it re-creates a new Tweet with the amended content, along with a list of the old Tweets prior to that edit.” Although the edit button isn’t yet available for testing, some developers were able to gain early access and share screenshots of the feature online. The ‘Edit Tweet’ button will have a three-dot menu, and clicking on it will take you to a composition window. Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently offered to buy Twitter for $54.2 per share, valuing the social media company at $43 billion.
