Nagpur: United Kingdom Prime Minister #BorisJohnson is all set to tender his resignation as per the British media reports.

A wave of resignations hit Johnson from his cabinet in the last two days. He will stay as the caretaker prime minister until October and is expected to announce his resignation today. BBC political editor #ChrisMason took to Twitter and announced, “Boris Johnson will resign as Conservative Party leader today.”

Britain’s new finance minister #NadhimZahawi told Johnson to resign on Thursday, a few hours after the UK prime minister promoted him onto the job. “This is not sustainable and it will only get worse, for you, for the Conservative Party, and most importantly of all the country,” Zahawi said on Twitter after more than 50 ministers and aides resigned from the government. “You must do the right thing and go now,” the finance minister tweeted.

He also added that he went to the #primeminister’s office in Downing street on Wednesday evening to tell Johnson to ‘leave with dignity.’ “The country deserves a government that is not only stable but which acts with integrity. Prime Minister you know in your heart what the right thing to do is, and go now,” he said.
